The city of Kinbaku

Workshop with Barkas & Addie

Kinbaku as a practice is incredibly diverse and allows for a myriad of different approaches. In this metaphorical city trip, the participants are invited to come along on a journey through various approaches and different perspectives of rope bondage. The antidote to the one-true-way thinking that is all too common in tying.  After the arrival in the city we will study how we can move through the city and what districts we want to visit before we go there.  The trip is influenced by the wishes of the participants. We can choose between districts like the red light district (Yukimura floorwork), the university district (engineering patterns and rope handling), the amusement park (suspension transitions and ranboo), the gardens (meditative rope), and many more.

Prerequisite:  Knowledge of one or some upper body ties and basic understanding of upline safety.
