Suspension transitions and how to think about them

Tired of tying in a way where you simply go up and come back down the same way? Want to bring more variety, flow, and visual interest to your suspensions? This workshop will take you into the world of transitions in suspension – those moments when, mid-air, you change position, harness, or the body’s orientation.

We’ll cover not only the technical aspects and safety considerations, but also how to think when planning transitions, how to choose the right harness for the desired movement, and how to execute changes smoothly and securely. We’ll also focus on building a complete session and on maintaining connection and communication with your partner, even when you are not in close physical proximity as you would be when tying on the floor.

This workshop is for those who want to take their tying to the next level – moving from static poses to fluid, dynamic, and deeply connected transitions.

Prerequisites: Ability to tie a safe takate gote or another secure chest harness.
Preferably experience with suspension lines and working on bamboo.
